Aubergine is located in the historic village of Penn Yan, one of many stately Victorian homes. The house, built in 1869, is a beautiful example of Second Empire architecture, featuring a slate mansard roof and “oeil de boeuf” windows. The inn offers two King-size rooms and one Queen room; each with a private bath. The inn’s common area includes a living room with access to a covered porch, and dining room, where a full breakfast is served each morning. Both rooms are filled with period furniture and feature gorgeous chestnut woodwork. Situated on a large corner lot, guests may walk outside and view the gardens, or take a leisurely stroll to visit the shops and restaurants of Penn Yan’s quaint downtown area.
