This mid-1800’s home in south-central Pennsylvania offers superb hospitality in a rural backdrop. No matter which room you choose, the Carriage Stop is dedicated to making your stay remarkable. When you stay at the Carriage Stop, you wake each morning to a delicious homemade breakfast, which includes a variety of homemade dishes aimed to please any palate. Each dish is paired with your choice of breakfast sausage and/or bacon. Perhaps you would like to partake of our Very Vanilla French Toast, choice of pancakes, or our Three-egg Omelets. Our Marmalade French Toast Sandwiches are very popular too! Served to your liking, our farm fresh eggs from our own backyard chickens are always on the menu! In addition you’ll be offered a selection of fresh pastry, muffins, assorted cereals, yogurt and fresh fruit.
Guests can relax in the sun or shade while taking a dip in the 34,000 gallon inground swimming pool complete with screened-in gazebo and built-in fire ring for chilly evenings. Stroll along our two acres of property and enjoy a lawn game or simply relax on a double swing or bench set under one of many huge shade trees
Along with being within close proximity to several of the region’s award-winning wineries, we are conveniently located to the Hollywood Casino and Penn National Racetrack. Only 6 miles south of the bed and breakfast, find Hershey where you can explore Hershey Park, the GIANT center which hosts Top Billing Concerts, Sports & a huge variety of Shows! Or shop at the Tanger Outlets, visit Chocolate World, the Hershey Museum, Car Museum, Antiquing and so much more! If you’d like to visit Pennsylvania’s capital city, Harrisburg is just minutes west of our home. Amish country is less than one hour away towards the southeast.
