Perched on the rolling hills of the Leelanau Peninsula with sweeping views of Lake Leelanau, Bel Lago Winery embodies a deep connection to heritage, quality, and the craft of winemaking. Founded in 1992 and rooted in the traditions of northern Michigan, we honor generations of local viticulture while embracing sustainable, forward-thinking practices. Our vineyard is more than a beautiful destination—it’s a reflection of our commitment to stewardship, community, and artisanal excellence. Across 37 acres of sustainably managed land, we grow more than 100 grape varieties selected for their ability to thrive in our cool climate and rich soils. From bud break to harvest, every detail is shaped by our respect for the land and dedication to quality. Whether you’re a casual explorer or a dedicated connoisseur, your visit to Bel Lago promises elegant wines, refreshing ciders, and a genuine connection to the people, place, and passion behind it all.
